Not only Tanah Lot, there are many magnificent and beautiful temple in Bali which can be visited by the traveler. One is Pura Taman Ayun which is a relic of the Kingdom of Mengwi.
Not only in dubbed as the Island of the Gods, Bali is also dubbed as the island of thousand temples. This nickname came because of the many temples in Bali which was a place of prayer Hindus. Such as Tanah Lot Temple, Ulun Danu Temple, Uluwatu and Pura Taman Ayun.
Taman Ayun Temple built in 1634 is located in Mengwi, Badung, Bali. This temple is paibon for the Kingdom of Mengwi built by I Gusti Anom.
In this temple also contained Meru towering and majestic, dedicated to the gods and ancestors who berstana kingdom. Pura Taman Ayun is divided into three levels and each level has a page of the facilities and their stated objectives.
Such as the temple area is divided into three. In Nisata Mandala or outer courtyard there is a pool that surrounds the temple, the building area (wantilan) are often used for cockfighting during the ceremony. There is also a fountain that lead to nine points of the compass.
In the second part (Madya Mandala) there is a building Aling-aling 'Bale Pengubengan' are decorated with reliefs. Describe Dewata Nawa Sanga or 9 guardian deity of the wind direction, Pura Dalem Bekak east and Balai Kulkul towering west corner.
The third part is the most sacred (Main Mandala). Here the traveler can see many Meru towering various sizes and shapes.
